I started this beautiful weekend in the most perfect way. I woke up with this and listened to the whole first movement while laying in bed and deciding where to run in this beautiful weather. Rachmaninov is the best.
Then I went to a bike ride/run and listened to this. Ahhhh. Prokofiev. This must be one of my favourite concertos of all time. The cadenza! OHMAGAAAHD #iwannaplaythis
I know, this isn’t the most standard running or workout playlist. I’m a nerd.
Then I came home and realized that we didn’t have any food.
Or that’s what I thought, but that’s when the most magical things happen in the kitchen! When you have to be creative with only a few ingredients and make something out of what appears to be nothing.
And then this juice happens and it’s exactly what I need and want.
This juice is not overly sweet, it’s just perfectly hydrating, subtle and refreshing. It’s got a bit of a kick from the ginger, but not too much. It’s simple, and it’s satisfying. Something to kick start your weekend in a healthy way to give you that extra glow.
WEEKEND KICKSTARTER JUICE
4-5 small or medium apples
5-6 stalks celery
1 thumb ginger
Juice all the ingredients. Then strain your juice and pour in a glass or a jar. And drink it with a super cute glass jar (not obligatory, but makes the experience a lot more fun ;)). I really recommend straining your juices! It makes them super crisp and delicious!
